Being a man or woman,
Merely is not enough,
Being a humble human,
Is needed, but it’s tough
* * *
Problems arise a lot,
But keep the character,
Life is a testing pot,
It breaks, also applies plaster,
* * *
Dog bites you,
But you don’t bite back,
Life gives lemons to you,
Collect them and fill your sack
* * *
That sack will be useful,
Will contain all experiences,
Life will become blissful,
When you jump off the fences.

I received this poem from a friend of mine via SMS, it’s so touching that I couldn’t stop posting it here 🙂 Continue reading
Can any work be called unproductive??
I think not. Any work can’t be unproductive at all.
We call some work as unproductive because we compare them with remuneration it generates, the respect it earns and what we perceive it to be, a productive work or an unproductive one.
A work done by a sweeper might be unproductive to some, but the same work earns bread and butter for him and his family. What matters to him is feed his family and not what others think of his job.
Also at times parents or relatives, friends and acquaintance term some work we do as “Un-Productive”. For example, if one is more interested in sports or music than studies s/he is termed as doing Unproductive work. But what others do is compare the job or work to the standards and sieve them on set parameters. Whereas the person may be enjoying the work he or she is doing. For him the work is not unproductive, certainly.
It reminded me of a lecture I attended while in engineering college. One personnel from BARC (Bhabha Atomic Research Center, Mumbai) has come to our college on an invitation. While in his lecture, he said
“Even a stone lying on the road has some purpose. So whenever you think, this particular thing is complete waste and has no purpose, think twice. May be the work of that stone was to warn you to look carefully while walking or driving on road, when you stumble across it.”
So there is nothing as “Unproductive work”. It’s your perception. It’s color of your glass through which you are looking at it.
Recently I was chatting with a friend of mine, for the first time, and I felt like I know her since pretty long time. The comfort zone between us was inexplicable.
At times you feel such connection with some people. You meet them very first time and you feel the instant connection. You feel like this is the friend I was searching. You come across so many people day in and day out, but there are only few with whom you feel this Instant Connection. And I term it as,
“Love at first sight in Friendship”
Yes. Love at first sight in friendship. I do come up with such phrases every now and then. I should get this phrase patented now 🙂
The point being, you do come across some people and you feel why they weren’t in our world before?? At times the connection felt is so strong that you feel like sharing your feelings with them. And they in turn do the same too.
If someone has felt this ever, please cherish it. These are the small joys which we need in our lives to make it more lively and happening. And if someone has not come across this feeling, hang on for some time; you will also come across such person with whom you will feel “Love at first sight in Friendship”. I have been blessed with some certain friends.
