Noble Prize auctioned…

Well! Well! Well! Don’t be surprised if tomorrow morning you come to know that Lalu Prasad Yadav, Mayawati, Manishankar
Ayyar or some MLA or most surprisingly YOU get the Noble for Peace. Don’t ask me “What on the earth I am saying” because
Noble Peace Prize is on auction. Recently US President Barack Obama got it, so why can’t you get it?
This is really insane that US president who has barely made 37 weeks in the office and haven’t done any substantial or material
thing other than stating that World needs peace and I am going to work on making the World a Nuclear Free place (This world
will contain every nation other than US). If just declaring things like “I am working on making this world a better place to live”
gets you a Noble prize then why Indian politicians are kept away from receiving Noble for Peace? Our Indian leaders are saying
things like “We won’t initiate attack on Pakistan”, “If an attack comes from Pakistan side we would retaliate”, but not to mention
that when an attack comes from Pakistan side we don’t do anything more than saying “We condemn the attack from Pakistan”.
So doesn’t this stand in line for getting Noble for Peace or any other category?
One question that came in my mind after hearing the news that Barack Obama got the Noble for Peace is, is Noble Peace (or any
other category for that matter) so cheap? I think Noble Prize has lost its credibility. Anyone with influential or monetory power
can get Noble prize. Getting Noble prize has just becoming as simple as getting some Filmfare or some other local prize.
Now considering the fact that Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Ravindranath Tagore and likes of people have received this
Noble Prize in the past, is it commendable that a person like Barack Obama who hasn’t proved anything to the World yet gets a
Noble prize? He is yet to prove his mettle and just saying doesn’t mean he has proved. Saying something is very much easy than
doing it. I guess nobody should be surprised in the future if Pakistan Ex-chief Parvez Musharraf, Osama Bin Laden or any other
terrorist or conman gets a Noble.
I hereby declare that I am not satisfied with the work the Noble Committee has done by giving Peace prize to Barack Obama.
It could have been a fair deal if Obama had proved anything. If he does something positive and proves his statement by making
this world a better place than now, then it’s ok to confer him something dignified thing like Noble.
Noble committee has brought shame to people like Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King by conferring this award to Barack Obama.
Because these people have proved themselves over the years and not just over the Weeks.

Just some time after this Noble Prize was announced I went through BBC site and read this comment from Paul Reynolds. I am posting that comment here for you people.

Paul Reynolds
BBC News, London

The award is certainly unexpected and might be regarded as more of an encouragement for intentions than a reward for achievements. After all, the president has been in office for a little over eight months and he might hope to serve eight years. His ambition for a world free of nuclear weapons is one that is easier to declare than to achieve and a climate control agreement has yet to be reached.

Indeed, the citation indicates that it is President Obama’s world view that attracted the Nobel committee – that diplomacy should be founded “on the basis of values and attitudes that are shared by the majority of the world’s population”.

Comparison between ancient leaders and current ones…

Today king or emperor is replaced by President, Prime Minister or Leader. But that’s not the only difference. A king used to see that his public, people seek utmost comfort in his/her regime. He used to personally see what is amiss in his society or state. But today politicians are busy in getting their pockets drenched with money. They don’t care about public anymore. The only time they care about public is election time.

In ancient days, a King used to change his get up, appearance and mix into public, unknown to public, and see what is going on in his society. This move of his was meant to find out what are the problems people need to face, what are the intricacies and hardships which they face in day-to-day life. But today we don’t find a single politician or leader (as they call themselves) irrespective of which party he or she belongs to.

Why this is so???

Because, today politicians are busy in travelling abroad for some reason or the other, irrespective of whether it is needed or not. One example I can cite here is of Pune Municipal Corporation members. PMC (Pune Municipal Corporation) members had gone to Simla for their annual meeting. Isn’t this pathetic? Why someone from Pune need to go to Simla for annual meeting? Can’t they solve the problems of Pune city by staying in Pune itself?

Today if a politician from any party wants to get himself called as True Leader he needs to go into public without any luxury he or she currently seeks. My challenge to all politicians is:

1)      Go into public without security, as a common man, and feel and see how insecure a common man’s life is.

2)      Go into public by changing get up and understand the problems. This is the best way to get to the root of the problems.

3)      Think of betterment of general public not yourself.

If any politician acts on above stated points and works for betterment of public, I will or rather public will salute to him/her and will willingly call him/her “A true leader”.

Terrorism peeking its head again…. and politicians sitting quietly…

Delhi once again hit by bomb blast. The previous attack was just 14 days before. After the attack on 13th, Police and Government showed they are now alert, but the next blast within striking distance of Qutub Minar and within 14 days of last blast showed that Police, Government and all politicians  are still sleeping and partying.

Why government is so lethargic about acting on such serious issues???? This will be the most nagging question in every common man’s mind. Today every citizen of Republic India is under continuous threat. Any time a freaky terrorist will come and will decide onto when WE can LIVE and when WE will DIE. This is so insane. Why government is not acting onto it???

The convicts of 1993 bomb blast are still to be punished. Our Law and Order is so good, that any one from 5th standard can also trigger something that will be out of hands of system. The convicts of previous terrorism are yet to punish and new cases come and this process continues under Perpetuity law. This must change. And common man is hinting towards this change. As was shown in the movie The Wednesday, a common man can change all things but the system again is incapable of handling anything.

If a common man kills any terrorist, he must be punished as he has taken law and order in hand. But if a terrorist kills hundreds of people, he will not be convicted. Even if convicted or punished he has access to upper court and finally he asks for President’s help. If the law and order is for common man, why the same thing is not applicable for terrorists? There should be an order of shoot at site or if caught hanging is the only option. Unless and until terrorists are not made victims of terror, they will not listen to us.

Every time, Indian Prime Minister and every politician says this is bad what is happening. And again carry out their personal activities. Everytime, a blast takes place and Prime Minister urges and says “We will take strong action against terrorism”. But nothing happens. The same politician again utters the same thing till he gets votes and after getting elected he forgets all things.

The system of Republic India is so corrupted and so incapable that these things will go on continuously as it is. And a common man needs to habituate himself according to all these things and will have to get accustomed to terror and live with it. There seems no possible solution with current system. The situation is hinting towards a change and system must change.
