Shaken But Not Stirred…

My life is just shaken, but not properly stirred,

My eyesight is perfect, but the vision is blurred,

I have so many things in mind, but the heart is holding back,

I have the GPS in my mind, but I seem to have lost the track,

Whenever I try to find a path, my network turns me down,

I am the king of my life, but it doesn’t let me wear the crown,

I remember the landmarks, but they seem to have vanished,

I tried to search them extensively, but was severely punished,

Now I am going with destiny, let’s see where it takes me,

My karma makes my destiny, let’s see what destiny makes me.

Flash Forward – A new series on ABC…

While scanning through a torrent site in search of some good TV serials I came across new series named “Flash Forward“. Actually after finishing “Friends” and “Prison Break” long back I was thinking of watching some other series. But was not having time so could not see them. That’s the reason I was searching for some new series on air and came across this series through

Now coming back to this series, the series starts with one of the lead actor trying to come out of his car with some yanking and blinking noise in the background. The series is all about people blacking out at exactly the same time world wide, adjusting the local time zones. The black out spanned for 2 minutes and 17 seconds. Initially the black out looked chaotic and hazy but then after some investigation and experience sharing, FBI agents come to know that people have fore-visioned 29th April 2010 that is 6 months in advance.

They then set up a website to compile the experiences and visions worldwide, compile various videos of webcams worldwide and come to know that there are at least two people who weren’t blacked out. The plot (at least for season 01) runs around three FBI agents, their respective wives and friends and two unknown identities who weren’t under the spell of black out.

The series is really going to flourish in coming episodes and is really handling a new and nice subject for TV series. FlashForward is a science-fiction television series currently airing on ABC. It is based on the 1999 novel “Flashforward” by Canadian science fiction writer Robert J. Sawyer. It began airing on September 24, 2009.

I am so looking forward to see more episodes of this series.

People and their driving sense…

Ahead of Commonwealth Games 2010, Delhi is buzzing with various infrastructure developments (only Delhi Government knows how many of those infrastructure development programs are meant for infrastructure development and how many for internal corruption and wallet filling). The development seems to be much sluggish than a tortoise walking on the beaches. Constructions have only started but the end seems no where. May be the development will end either on the date of commencement of Commonwealth Games or after the games get over. Similarly the traffic regulation and people’s driving sense seems to have gone for a vacation on some other planet (may be on Moon as Chandrayan and other space shuttles have discovered water on the Moon).

The traffic all over India is unregulated. Traffic Polices are only for a show off and for jacking money from people. But they don’t seem to regulate the traffic. They don’t even try for regulation. People also follow the similar notes. Vehicles are provided with Upper and Dipper beams so as to facilitate people in night driving. These facilities are provided for use only. But people don’t use the dipper beam and ply with upper beams only, even though that upper beam obstructs the vision of the person coming from the other side.

Similar incidence happened with me (though it happens on a regular intervals with me) recently. A person was driving a jeep and on a narrow road we came head to head. He was focussing upper beam only. So I flashed upper and dipper consecutively so as to suggest him that lower your beam as I am not able to see anything. But he refused to lower the beam. What I could have possibly done other than cursing that man. I tried to tell him to ply the vehicle on dipper and use upper when necessary, but in vain.

Delhi Government has announced a new program wherein they will educate the Delhites on proper driving rules and practices. But I doubt how useful that will be. But there is no harm in trying things out. Delhi Government and P. Chidambaram (Home Minister of India) stressed out that Germany and China have done the same thing before hosting such big events. The education program in Germany and China were successful because people there think for their nation and feel dejected if someone from outside blames their country. But that’s not the same with Indians. We Indians have lost pride in our country. And that’s the reason we are facing issues like corruption, ill-politics etc. (the list will go on and on).

Can Mahatma be owned???

The mere physical and mortal items of Mahatma Gandhi can be owned by paying some ephemeral paper chips, but the question which arises here is, can anybody own Mahatma Gandhi by merely buying the items HE used to use???

If somebody says “yes” to the above raised question, then it’s a shameful, bovine, mean and cheap answer one can give. The things Mahatma used to use then carry some value but, the thoughts, vision, mission, compromises and austerity that Mahatma showed are invaluable.

Mr. Mallya atleast showed some respect, spirit by obtaining these items from auction and protected India from getting bloody faced. The credit of this act, like his other acts, should be given to Mr. Mallya. The debate on whether Indian Government was behind this auction or not is really untraceable. As only Mr. Mallya and Indian Government know the truth. Keeping that factor aside, credit should be given to Mr. Mallya for showing some sensitivity and emotional attachment towards Mahatma item’s auctions. In the past also, he braught canon or missile of Tipu Sultan and earned the similar respect. Is Mr Mallya the only one who have some sensitivity??? No other person is sensitive???

Just merely buying or obtaining or keeping items of Mahatma Gandhi, no person or political party should claim that they own Mahatma. As nobody, even after investing the last drop of blood, can own Mahatma. But yes, Mahatma can be owned, but not by buying his items but following his vision and mission.

Mr. Mallya should also not show or claim that he own Mahatma. I know he will not, but still. Similarly, no Indian political party should claim any credit of bringing these items to India and use it for electoral campaign, as that will only malign the stature of that party further.

Don’t try to own Mahatma, but be owned by Mahatma.
