Law(less) and (dis)Order…

I pity Indian Law structure. Every time something like German Bakery or 26/11 incidents take place, our crime investigation team appears on the crime scene for not to be seen there again. Political leaders and media persons also come on the crime scene to contaminate the crime scene to unrecoverable extent. Political leaders really don’t understand anything in the solving the crime. So why does they have to be there? We don’t see any senator visiting the crime scene in US or UK. Why? They also care about the vote banks, don’t they?

Even though media person is not allowed to enter the caution marks put there, but the footage he brings through TV is very bad. Media is not supposed to speculate onto anything, they are just to show what’s happening and should leave the speculation part on Crime investigators. But this doesn’t happen here. 26/11 footage actually was a massacre and black dot in the history of media. We could see the army and commando personnel’s exact position, where he is standing, in which direction he is pointing his weapon. If we can see those things can’t the terrorists see these things? The news channels air in other countries also. If the people who have actually planned these events see these details they will surely convey the same to the trapped terrorists.

Coming back to the point, when we hold some guy responsible for a crime and bring him in the court for right judgement we also think of taking help of this case to stop the future such crime events. If a guy is held for over-speeding on the expressway or has caused some accident, we bring him in court and punish him for making this an example and a teaching for those who may do such things in future. So a judgement is not merely a judgement for that person alone or for the present condition we are though, but is supposed to make a long lasting impact on the general public and refrain them from repeating the same stuff again.

But this doesn’t seem to be happening in India. We always hear the stories and some true incidents from someone that in Singapore or Malaysia, you will be asked to pay hefty fine for spitting in public places or littering on road. Why this is so? Not just to punish the guy who did that, but to refrain others also from doing such mean activities. Other person will think twice before spitting in public place afterwards.

In France, people are asked to categorise the household garbage into three different categories and are asked to maintain three different coloured dustbins for them. The first one is Green in colour and is meant for the kitchen wastes and wet garbage. The second one is Red which is meant for bio-hazardous materials and the Blue is meant for other dry garbage. If the pick-up person finds that the waste has not been categorised properly by particular house, the house is penalised for certain amount. This is not just for that particular home for refraining from wrongdoing again but also to set an example in front of other public.

In India we don’t see the stringent and strict application of the laws and that is the main reason why we find law to be incompetent. It’s not about the law but about the law executers. The law never fails, but the executers. There can be some exceptions for the laws but that’s just part and parcel. We always go through the axioms and theories in Maths but we also go through the exceptions too. So does that mean maths is wrong? No.

IPL outsourced…

IPL SEASON 2 The most awaited, talked about, seen round the world and involving almost every bully in the world of cricket, in short IPL (Indian Premier League) is being outsourced. Yes. “Outsourced” is the only fitting word I know for. Generally India was the destination and receiver of the outsourced activities from other countries. But for the first time, and that too the Godly game “Cricket” is being outsourced to either South Africa or England. Its really a shame to do such thing.

Indian Premier League is “By Indians, For Indians, On Indian Land but involving foreign players.” This is the brief introduction of IPL. The first season of IPL was a grand success. Even though teams like “Bangalore Royals” and the likes of the teams didn’t perform well, but the owners of every team were multi-billionaires in a month. Every industry felt the boost in the performance with the introduction of IPL. Media industry were the biggest gainers, ground keeping authorities, FMCG companies, players etc followed the suits with grand gains. Though cricket followers and fans gave out money for tickets, but they also gained by the enthrallment and joy of watching the match live on some stadiums. Even the cheerleaders were also benefited from this venture.

Forget about the biggies, even a Pan stall, food malls, hotels, restaurants, small scale shoppers were also benefited hugely from IPL, as public who had to go for jobs while the match was being played used to stop at some point and watch the update. In that period, if one was at Pan stall for grabbing a quick update had to purchase cigarette, Pan or some mouth freshener at least. Or for that matter, for getting access in the hotel he had to get something ordered in their. So though indirectly, everybody was getting benefited from IPL.

But now if the authority takes this game to different country then all these small benefiters are going to loose the cream they would have got from it. We all know that Elections are more important than IPL, but that can not be an excuse to postpone, pre-pone or outsource the game. Cricket is equal to God in India. So if the followers of the God Cricket, which for the fact everybody is, get embarrassed due to such things as outsourcing take it for granted that Elections are gonna get hit big time. At least the some effect will be there. The other thing is that, Indian Political leaders “waste” so much money, in those futile sessions in Lok-Sabha and Rajya-Sabha with no output coming from those session with lakhs or Crores of rupees invested in it. Instead of wasting so much money there, invest some of it at least in strengthening the security, law and order in the country.

I think the solution to strengthening the security of India lies in the statement above. I think if the companies of the likes of Satyam can afford myriad and huge frauds, they can definitely afford to start some “Alternate Military System” which will work under the “Indian Armed Forces” that is “Indian Military” and will share the work load also. In the events of emergency these forces can work like military forces and other times they can take care of internal security of particular state, which they belong to. This will create some employment also and security will not be a concern. Even though the emergency like Mumbai Attack comes, solution can be easily sorted out without having to call those military forces which are working on the border.

Holding IPL in other countries is not the solution. Indian public want to enjoy the game in person, physically being able to stand in the stadium and cheer for their favourite teams. If the IPL is outsourced these public will be at loss as everybody can not afford to go to abroad for watching matches. And another thing is that, IPL is Indian Event and carrying that out in foreign land is uncalled for and not welcome. Security concerns can be worked out, the session can be postponed, or re-worked out. IPL authorities need to leave the adamant views and find some way out. Have some high-tech solutions to prevent any mishaps. As already said by Ayaz Memon, the Common-Wealth Games will come somewhere around the mid-term elections, so are we going to postpone those also? Not carrying out two major events at a single time shows the inability of Indian Government. I think India Government can take the load of two major events. And outsourcing IPL 2 to some other country is definitely not the solution.

Is Hon. Sheila Dixit wrong???

This is in responce to statement by Delhi CM Sheila Dixit on the murder of TV journalist Soumya Vishwanathan. Media is all ga-ga about the comment made by Delhi CM, but did they gave it a thought. Today media is all set to go onto any news, but they will not think about what are the comments and what we should interpret and what should be broadcast finally…Media don’t have that much time.

Delhi CM said, “Today girls/women are becoming more adventurous”. What is wrong in that statement??? She is also a woman and she knows what should be the boundaries that a woman or a man also should follow. If the journalist would have waited till dawn, she could have felt more safe. People go for jogging and walking from that time. And once you see some people strawling on the road, one feels that there is someone who will listen to me if something happens.

At 3:00 in the morning there will be nobody who is going to listen to her. So leaving office at going home at such a time is being adventurous. I also agree with Delhi CM. I don’t disagree with the fact that no matter what’s the time, murders do happen. But atleast you have some margin, atleast you can cry for help and people will also listen to it.

Another thing is that, this murder is not without motive, as no murder is without motive. There must have been some motive behind this. So why not search for that motive??? instead of calling names. And if she knew that there may be somebody out there who will be waiting to drink the blood, she should not take chances.

As a journalist, there are various threats. And people become friends as well as enemies also in this profession. She should have known this. She should have been carefull. She have not thought about this and that’s why the statement by Delhi CM isn’t totally wrong.

I also agree that the profession is such that you don’t have time limits and one need to work round the clock for getting the coverage. But a due care must be taken.

After such case, media should ask the questions about the safety issues and should not cry on whether the statement is correct or wrong. They should think positively about this statement. And instead of wasting time on such things (whether CM is right or wrong on such statements) media should think of how the safety should be improved. As we all know, Delhi is no safe place for anybody, let that be a Man or a Woman. So why take chances???

Better way, media should ask Delhi CM to improvise safety measures instead of crying. All journalist’s and other professionals who need to work in night shifts should take due care and always ask for safety rather than being ADVETUROUS…

Adding to this, my sincere apologies if I have hurt somebody’s sentiments. And My sincere condolence to the soul of TV Journalist Soumya Vishwanathan. May her soul rest in peace.

What is media upto???

Media….. The word in itself should bring rebel feelings, threat in wrong doer’s mind, justice to victims and entertainment. But today Indian Media is not serving any of these purposes. Here I am not talking about print media. The issue here is of Broadcasting Media. Why this is happening? Ever wondered?

There are various reasons for this thing to work in a wrong way.

1. May be they are not interested to show what is real.

2. May be they are just running behind making money.

3. May be they are under influence of some HIGH PROFILE person.

These statements stated above get distributed further into other factors. But this is the broader aspect of it. (I may be forgetting something or I may not understand other issues also, but its upto Masses to correct me, if I am wrong)

We all know that media is on wrong turn, we all know that something is amiss. But nobody does anything for correcting their faults. Because nobody is having time for all these things. But there is something wrong in this also. People like to watch all the crap things going on T.V. They always cry foul on these things. But no steps towards correction. My god, whats happening to our countrymen????

Just to have glimpse of how pathetic the situation is I will show you people some photos of India TV which I received through mail just yesterday.

After looking these pictures one can imagine how pathetic is the situation. These are some of the photos of the series. In my opinion this channel could not find anything better than this the whole day. Pathetic… 😡

Similarly, when Mr. Amitabh Bachchan was being relieved from hospital after his treatment, the NEWS was breaking news. It stated “Mr. Amitabh Bachchan came out of the hospital at 12:12:12 (thats 12 BAJKAR 12 MINUTE 12 SECOND)”. It is agreed that Mr. Amitabh Bachchan is one of the eminent personalities of India. Showing news related to him is quite obvious but making this kind of fuss will not be satisfying to Mr. Amitabh Bachchan also. Am I right Big B??

Couldn’t these channels see hungry people running here and there for their daily food. Couldn’t these channels see politicians playing foul? Couldn’t these channels find people asking help to get justice? I mean what these media people made of?? Aren’t they humans????

I remember watching a news channel on the day of Parliament . A well known person was interviewing mass of people. And he was not asking Open Ended questions that he should have asked. Rather he was asking such questions the answers of which he wanted from people. This is very ridiculous.

There are so many things to write about these foul plays. But currently I stop here controlling my feelings. And keeping something for you people. Hope this article will ignite some fire in your mind and you come up with something that will change Indian Media.
